Giving birth to my first child left me with a lingering health issue that eventually led to me looking beyond traditional medical help in 1974 for an alternative solution.  That entire process led me to the need to change my typical American diet and take nutritional supplements.  Thirty years ago, that was a narrow path to take – and not much support, so I read anything I could get my hands on about healthy issues.  I heard that if you read one book a week on a subject for one year – that would be equivalent to a college degree.  When it comes to nutrition and healthy issues – that is my only credentials.

Teaching fifth grade in the public school was set aside so that I could be a stay-at-home mom – my heart’s desire.  Eventually, I found myself sliding into the busyness of life and was letting the school and church pretty much raise my kids.  When I began to see values that were not mine displayed in them – I realized that I needed to spend more time being involved in their lives.  I cut back on major activities – but for me, it was not enough.  So, I started home schooling – when they were 12, 9 and 5.  That hard, not always fun project consumed me for the next 16 years, but today I have three grown adult children that are a blessing to me…and two lovely granddaughters.  They have all thanked me more than once for raising them in a healthy home – they definitely see the difference.  That is probably my most valuable credential!

For the last 23 years, I have been marketing for a 30 year old wellness manufacturing company out of Idaho Falls, Idaho.  They are committed to creating healthier American (and international) homes and enhancing the lives of families with time saving, money saving and healthier choices.  My involvement with their leading research and development has allowed me to stay abreast of the balanced idea of toxic/harsh chemicals in our homes. We try to enhance family’s lives – one family at a time, even.
